Description
So if any of you guys remember the WIP I uploaded about a month ago[link] , where here is the most recent version of it. Still far from being done. I really need critiquing done on this and still needs a title. I have about three to choose from, but I would like more. Please full view and tell me what you think. I made the full view size very big so the details can be seen. Thank you very much for any comments and critiques.
So what needs to be done:
Scythe needs shading and details. (I just put down the base of it)
The "Grim" needs some details such as scar of amputated limb and facial details. (The eyes and nose sockets, lip coloring, more ear shading and hair)
Background needs to be sketched and thought out.
The girl is completely finished unless someone sees a glaring mistake or something.

This is a brilliant concept, I love the juxtaposition of the innocent looking girl and the deathly, spiritual "grim".
The girl is excellent, but there's a lack of depth to the "grim". She needs more heavily contrasting colours, such as bright white on the up edge of the ribs next to the shading you have for the gaps. The same is true of the scythe, it's just a flat peice of gray.
The transition between the grim and the hair (which, by the way, is absolutely amazing - that's the kind of depth the rest needs...) needs to be smoother too.
Try applying the something similar to the style you've used on the girls shirt, with the dark green and almost white merging seamlessly.
Finally, the left elbow needs to be more defined, it looks as though the arm just stops halfway down, and the thumb on the left hand is on the wrong side.
I hope this helped, and I look forward to seeing the finished results when they're up.

My gawd..... I feel so stupid about the thumb on the left side. Thank you so very much for catching that. Also thank you for the critique on the "grim". I think adding some bright white to some parts like you said will really make her pop. The scythe has yet to be worked on, so that is why it is a completely flat piece of grey and brown. I know about the transition of the hair, I am still figuring out how to make that look like I want it to but I am waiting to completely finish the "grim" before smoothing it out.
Finally I want to ask your opinion on a title and the background. I do not want to do a graveyard background and not exactly sure what else to do. The background is one of the last thing I will be doing.
Thank you very much for your critique, it was very helpful.

It's a mistake I make all too often, also big toes...
Alot of people are loathe to use white on dark subject matter (and vice-versa) but sometimes it's necessary to accentuate the darkness.
I like the kind of minimalist background you have already have, i wouldn't go to detailed lest you detract from the main focus. I would suggest something like this: [link] maybe with some kind of mausoleum or crypt instead of a tomb stone, or a low stone wall topped with iron railings. If you give it a slight reddish tinge it'll constrast with the current blue/purple scheme (although only a very light accentuation), or keep it alot lighter so that the grim and the girl really stand out.
I'll have to get back to you on a title idea.
