this is a sketch about taylor swift's new song "safe and sound" for the hunger games and what I'm trying to portray here is my favorite part of the song. I think this Is a good piece You demonstrate wonderful technique with proportion reflection and shading. You have a talent for drawing water. Tears are very hard to accurately draw you've done extremely well with the reflection. I can see that behind the viewpoint is a fountain than a wall of yellow light. With context clues its probably fire. You have also Brought out emotion. Is she sad because she lost someone in the fire or maybe she just dismayed at the destruction she sees When you create art emotion is commonly the goal to show the viewer. Think of Picasso's Guernica He in protest to the German bombing of the town of Guerincia produced a piece that was dark all the subjects are in anguish or in pain. He also used a lamp and a candle in that same piece to depict hope. Your piece is just as emotional. Id have to admit though your piece is much more aesthetically pleasing than his. My complaint for this one would be the lines from the paper just seem to spoil the work I don't care for notebook paper because its so hard to get rid of those annoying lines. I think this would actually sell if you were to reproduce it on plain white paper. keep up the good work. Rise up! Soar on My friend.

thank you, i'm glad you liked it. And about what you said about the paper, i'll try and make drawings without the lines, but i actually made it for my art journal and it counts as homework so i have to make it there. but thank you anyways!!!

I understand there's nothing wrong with notebook paper I just find the lines frustrating. I think they are great pieces but would be better if you redid them on white paper or in a photoshop program.

yeah, it frustrates me too hahaha, but i'll start to make drawings on normal sheets of papaer and hope it turns out ok
