Description One of my favorite movies of all time, and a one the best war movies of all time, Das Boot was initialy a TV miniseries released as a movie. It's about a German U-Boat in the second World War, men that are sent in the dark ocean to hunt down allied ships, but these men are human, and they don't want to die. They want to live. The top notch acting, directing, and most of all the characters are top notch. Check this movie out if you have not seen it.

Nothing more to say! But check also "Die BrΓΌcke" movie directed by Bernhard Vicki!
I think these two movies are the best"anti-war" movies ever.

Brilliant acting, superb drama, extreme realism, utterly tragic. One of the best anti-war films I had ever seen, without a doubt.

They are making another submarine movie, or it's about the come out. It's got Ed Harris, David Duchovney, and William Fictner, but nothing can top Das Boot.

I still mean to get myself that 6 hour version, but keep on slacking off. I am so glad you enjoyed what I did here. Everyone goes for Saving Private Ryan but the characters in such a dangerous, confined space got to have their own voice, and it spoke to me much more than SPR.

Yeah I can totally agree with you on this one. Das Boot is one of those classics that just cannot be topped by other movies. It's in its own league
