Second in a series based around this theme
He is a re-animated sentient being along the lines of Frankestein's Monster. Construced to wage war against mankind by others of its kind. 'Built' by using whatever organic material is available at the time although generally based on humanoid parts. These beings were constructed with similar internal organs to humans, but the bone structure was more external, almost insectoid, providing more defense capabilities.
This one is the brains of the operation. The lifegiver. Whilst other units collect and assemble the constructs, this guy breathes life into them via arcane magics & a good kick of High Voltage AC/DC...

Those colours are awesome! I also really like the souls being sucked through that stream - I didn't see the details at first but I went back and got suitably creeped out
