If Akuma is part of the last base roster from beginning instead just Satsui no Hado's involvement only + 2 playable & 1 NPC guests (Jin & Kyo, & the NPC cameo for Kazumi) on final release, this game should be taken place after Tekken 7 EP2.

Before leaving his main task to eliminate Heihachi & Kazuya for her, Akuma is given an information by Kazumi about the presences of Infinity Stones will come to his world. Kazumi let Akuma do as he wish while in the converged world between Marvel & Capcom universes. With Kazumi's knowledge, Akuma trained himself to gain an ability to absorbs any energy matters as his own, making him immune to any type of disease/viruses, such as:
* Absorbing the portion of the master control Sigma Virus from Ultron Sigma to gain abilities into a Sigma virus variation of Cyber Akuma, & enhance the master control virus w/ the Dark Hadou's curse, able to turn the infected into destructive warriors, survival of the fittest. If one manage to suppress the cursed virus, they can save the ones whose willpower is not enough to suppress it, Ryu, Thor & Chris are the primary examples.
* Replicate the Infinity Stones from their portions as the complete substitutes of the originals, should the originals being shattered in pieces as shards, but remained useful, yet using the full potentials is only for limited.

Akuma's personal targets to kill, the same thing Kazumi in mind are: Ultron, Sigma, Jedah & Death. Thanos is count, despite having some common between each other on exterminate their same targets

In this scene where Akuma raids Xgard alone as 1 man army, the techno infection of Thor's body is depleting before it comes again while Thor still have a willpower left to surpress it. Just like Thanos said, Ultron Sigma don't know nothing about the full potential of using some of the Infinity Stones like Soul Stone, because they are souless/have dark souls, making them vulnerable to Raging Demons. Even w/ or w/out Infinity Stones, Akuma is still strongest & uses Infinity Stones anytime he like to.
