Let me officially begin by asking, where would I be without you? It has only really been a little over year since we met and actually talked, and who would have ever thought we would have came this far, into what we are today? Starting out in grade 10, I wasn't exactly the happiest with where I was, and I have gotten better with your help.

Honestly Taylor, becoming friends with you… I should have done a hell of a lot sooner. You’re by far, one of the most honest, loving, caring, trustworthy, hilarious, spontaneous, joyful, gorgeous, smartest, realistic, kindest and coolest people I have ever met. I’m not just saying that, I really mean it. Somehow whenever I’m upset you make me feel sort of… calmer, I guess would be the word. If I have an overly shitty day or some douche bag decides to start something, you’re the first person I go to because you manage to make me feel better about the situation completely, you manage to calm me down and help me be more rational.

We laugh at each other more than is humanly possible.
So, dearest Taylor, many people write best friend letters to simply put the other’s greatest qualities as a pair into writing, but I’d like to also thank you for a couple of things:

Thank you for always being closest to me even when we were in separate places. Thank you for not letting us get split by dumb facts. Thank you for never giving up on our friendship, for never shrugging and being like “Eh, whatever” and drifting away vaguely because we’re victims of circumstance. Thank you for keeping your promises. Thank you for not letting a fight last long.

Thank you for doing all the things a real best friend does; for letting me cry into your shoulder or ear on the phone when I need to. Thank you for always knowing who I am and reminding me of that when I forget. Thank you for being genuinely concerned with the outcome of my life and always listening when you're not upset either. Thank you for telling me the things no one wants to hear and sparing the bullshit advice, by instead giving me real advice that I've never once regretted taking.

I can’t think of more than three people I would be willing to take a bullet for, you are one of them.
I’ll always accept you through change, but I request that you don’t because you my dear, are perfect!

You’re the best friend I have ever had, and I want to thank you ultimately, for being you.
As well as being my daughter.
Those are the things you will ALWAYS be to me.
And I love you more than anything.
I don't care what is happening in my life, I will always shut up and listen to you.
