My half of an art trade withI love Detective Conan, although its now been a couple years since I read any. I should have caught the movie when I was in Japan (sad). Maybe if the books are past volume 10 (where I stopped) I'll pick some up. Good solid mystery stuff.

I only know one Conan...and that's Edogawa...but....correct if I'm wrong...is that also a Conan in that picture?

P.S. I love your cartoony style--it's more of a western style, but it gives a nice twist to Aoyama-san's characters.

This is great answer to what I was saying before about you needing to do more z-axis work. The composition here is well arranged and the allignment of the foreground, midground and background is very appealing. Conveys a real sense of depth and it's just much more fun than if you had alligned the elements side-by-side.
What's funny is that this title makes me think of how Frank Miller said that his first germ of an idea for Marv in Sin City was "Conan in a trenchcoat." A stretch, yeah, but this is the first time I've heard of little detective Conan

Man that show was great, you couldn't watch so much as 30 seconds past the opening credits without being hopelessly hooked on finding out what the hell happened.
"what do you suppose killed him?"

Actually... I think the show did end! But I think the manga is still ongoing (which sort of keeps me from getting into it!).
Its crazy the manga-ka, I think his name is Aoyama, has completed like two or three shorter series before this one! He's a machine.

The shows are like 500 episodes and there are like 6 movies and the manga exceedes 800!

Then you have some catchign up to do! o_O. Jk. It seems there is no way to run out of ways to kill someone in inventful, highly gory, and nearly impossible to figure out way. Plus the criminal is never just a psycho, always have a back story. Never random killing either! Oh and don't allow the criminal to leave the crime scene EVAH! other than the black org, they're cool.
