You recreated my own bookshelves! 
Also, the position the guy's reading in is something I'm completely familiar with. It's the means of getting just the right amount of light without having the sun/ceiling light glaring down at you. I love how adorkable the guy looks, too...
The IPOD/MP3 player was a nice touch. I like that he listens to music as well as reads, means he's very artsy yes? The Chess Board and Magic 8 ball are also things I've very familiar with. Do you play chess? Or are you just passingly familiar like most of my friends are? I play as often as I can, really, Chess is a fun game.
I rather like your piece, and am favoriting it. Very awesome work.
