Wow. I love your art so much. I am totally in awe of what you do with light. Thanks for posting your process here; it's very interesting to see - also maybe we'll learn something from it! (In my dreams lol. I'll always aspire to be this good one day). Anyway, instead of faving ALL of your pictures one by one I thought I'd just drop a comment before continuing to browse. I hope you never stop drawing... you're an inspiration.

The drawing is of my OC and 'Moves Like Jagger' was actually what made me think of it for his name when I was working out the concept of him. xD

Heh..I still can not understand why some artist draw in black-white colors and only than put the other colours..And how they put them? Mix of the layers in photoshop?
p.s. You art is alway wonderful btw

It really helps with shadowing. It's a lot easier to see if a shadow in greyscale is correct compared to shadows in multiple colors. If all your shadows in greyscale work, then all the colors you put over them will work as well.

The artists who work in greyscale usually overlay the colours in a different layer above the greyscale painting. Of course it is slightly more complicated than that, but that's the gist of it.

overlay? I thought they used the Color Blend Mode, not Overlay
Anyway for me it is more difficult..I prefer to colour arts by many colours at once

Could be colour blend, could be overlay. I tried overlay once and it wasn't that bad, it worked well for the job I wanted it to do. I paint with colours myself and I noticed I have a tendency to pick up overly vibrant ones so my drawings look childish in their saturation.

You could make an experimental piece in grayscale, then try to overlay/whatever colours on different layers and se if you like the result. It is more uniform because of the technique then painting with colours from scratch but that might be a look you like as well.
