Description
Wanted to make something showing off Laser's more heroic side. This here is what he lives for, saving innocent human lives from killer haywire robots. Look at him, he's like a big metal dog! What a good boy!Creating this picture has also taught me that I need to streamline my drawing process more so I don't end up with 23410824 layers for the background or spend 10 years picking also 23410824 colors for the lines.

This is such a heartwarming picture, it really shows how much he cares for humans! Protecting them from bad bots and all of that stuff, he'd definitely be a good companion for any human to have!

Love it (as always)! Glad to see Laser finally protecting a human and just not some plants in boxes. The shading is also very detailed, I bet it is very hard to cast such a complex shadow on a character.
Just curious, what do you think the dragons' tails are made of? Specifically the metal parts, because they can bend even those, not just the intersections.

Thanks! Yeah, making that cast shadow was pretty hard, especially with trying to figure out how lighting works under shadows and avoiding making it look flat... As for the bendy tails, I'd say it's just cartoony stylisation more than anything. Someday I'd like to draw my robo-dergs with a larger number of tail segments for more realism while still retaining that fluid look.
