Welcome. I've been trying to learn how to do a costume of my OC Comet, myself. It's hard.

Those cosplays look incredible!!! How were Starscream's eyes able to glow like that, and the dark energon?

My friend Claire who made those optics said: "itβs red plastic, and the LEDs are right up against the edge of it so they have that gradient effect. Then thereβs black mesh behind them so you canβt see my eyes, and clear plastic in front to match the show"
Similarly, Knockouts optics are lit up EL wire with Clear plastic on the outside and red plastic on the inside to cover my eyes. As for the dark energon we created the Crystal by melt cutting colored plastic containers then sculpted/ melted it back together. Inside is a light system as well as raffia glitter etc. to provide a proper diffuse and mix of rich colors.Β

"Ah,Β thoseΒ TRANSFORMERS: PRIME screen captures are pretty cool."
Then it became:
"Oh, hey, someone didΒ really decent CGI renders of Starscream and Knockout."
And then it became:
"Those are costumes?!"
