Flint is finally gro-ing!

Flint opened his eyes as his senses came to life, The warm blanket of his large bed covered him. He opened his eyes more to be met with a blinding yellow light, He quickly moved his claw to cover his one opened eye. The smell of morning dew on the flowers and trees filled the room as he had left left his bedroom window slightly open before he fell asleep last night. His eyes slowly adjusted to the sunlit room as he moved his claw out of the way. He looked around his neat room, in particular his pile of neatly stacked books on his dresser. He had read them all and was awaiting the correct time to return them to Ember. He looked down at his small light purple pillow, He slowly moved his claw up to balance himself as he lifted his head from it. A bout of dizzyness hit him as he fell back down to the warmth of the pillow, He struggled there for a minute but eventually managed to get his head up. A second afterwards he heaved his whole body up to sit. He looked down at his thin body , Studying his ribcage...Something felt...off. He went over everything again. Two ears, Teeth, Three claws, Tai- WAIT THREE CLAWS?!

Flint quickly jumped back against the wall at the sight, This wasn't right! Something was very wrong! He looked over his claws again, The new claw was smaller...It had the same color as his over claws, He attempted to move it but it felt numb, He couldn't feel it at all. He turned his hand around to look at the back of it, Then lifting his over hand to look it over. They still felt numb, But the more he moved then the more they felt...Semi-Controlled. He lifted it into a ray of sunshine that hovered over his bed. A few seconds passed by...No feeling, And again...He still couldn't feel it, But then he tried to move it. Slowly wiggling it as some...weird feeling came into it, Suddenly it spread up his whole arm! It hurt! He tried to move it but Every time he even twitched it sent pain throughout his whole body! He jumped back hitting the wall accidentally very hard with his head, He shuffled around trying to get off the bet only slipped in the process, Eventually he fell to the floor with a loud bang as the pain in his arms worsened.

He jumped up despite the pain in his legs and ran towards the door, He tried to grab the handle but failed , He tried 2 times before finally getting it open. His arms hurt so bad, he opened the door slightly and fell to the floor just outside his room. His legs went numb as he waited there for a few seconds in relief, He twitched his toe as a mass pain was sent through his arm and he yelped in pain, It would leave him alone. He got to all fours quickly and ran down the hall to the kitchen hastily. "DADDY!!!" He screamed looking for his father but he wasn't there, He attempted to turn around but lost all control of his limbs and fell to the floor. A huge sound of a door hitting the wall came from the hallway, Re raced out in fear and spotted Flint laying on the ground. He ran over and quickly crouched down to see what was wrong, Flint looked up at Re and attempted to move his arm to reach for him but the wave of agony flooded his arm again. "Daddy it hurts!" Flint cried out as Re quickly picked him up to hold him, "WHATS WRONG? ARE YOU ALRIGHT? DID SOMETHING HAPPEN?" Re flooded him with questions in a panic.

Re and Flint slowly calmed down and things fell silent, The sound of another door opening made his ears flicker as his sister peeked out. Flint shifted his legs in the floor and quietly spoke "M-my arms, They hurt so much..." Re moved Flint slightly to look at his arms, Re took his claws in his hand as Flint slightly twitched at the touch. Re studied the third claw carefully and came to a conclusions, "Flint...Your third claw is coming in, Sometimes it can hurt...But your fine, You'll be okay." Re tugged Flint into a hug. "You just growing up, Oh my boy! You'll be so big!" Flint carefully thought, He didnt want to grow up...He liked it just the way it is...If he grows up He'll need to get a job! He would need to leave! Find his own house! He would never see his family again! Panic tugged at Flint's chest as he pushed away from the hug and spoke. "I-...i dont wanna grow up....No i dont wanna leave! No no no how do i make it stop!" Flint stared at Re with some tears starting to well up, Re looked down at Flint in confusion about what he meant "What? Leave? What are you talking about?" "If i grow up i'll need to leave wont i! I'll need to get my own house, Have a job, I'll never see you again! I wont wanna move away!" Flint's voice cracked as he leaned over almost falling because of his numb arms.

Re pulled Flint into a hug again, "You dont need to leave! Just because your growing up doesn't mean you need to get a job or move away!" Re held Flint close and tight "You'll always be my son even if you're grown! I love you and I'll never leave you..." Flint held on tightly to Re, He would never leave! He would stay forever...
