Description My second favorite shot from my little photo shoot yesterday at the dam. I cropped this one a little different, and I'm very happy with the outcome. I went back today and had a little difficult of a time getting a little further upstream, I got pricked and slipped on the rocks a few times and half my leg splashed into the water You might see a photo or 2 from today also, I have a couple more to throw up here on DA, so hopefully you'll be looking forward to that.

This place is really peaceful, just sitting and listening to the water. At one point while I was shooting, it sounded like someone was behind me talking, the way the water was crashing over the rocks and splashing its mini waves. It was nice to just be by myself and watch the water and listen, especially seeing as how I wasn't in the best of moods :-\ Photography has become my stress reliever, one of the only things that changes my mood from bad to good.

The title is just a little play on words from the last shot, Motion in Still Life, inspired by the BT album.

The soft water is beautiful, and it looks like the rest of the photo has a glow to it.... was this intentional? It has such a dreamy quality.. very nice! I have been addicted to long exposure water shots recently... they're just so soothing to look at and this is no exception!

great use of shutter speed to capture the motion, and the blue tone adds a cool feeling to it

Nice shot.. I really like the soft, dreamy tone you added or enhanced. I can almost hear the water myself.
