Description Theme - To tell or Not to tell?

In some situations it is vital for secrets to be kept, but if the person on the potentially receiving end of the secret already knows, should it still be kept?

There had always been something questionable about Kim HeeChul. And to HanGeng, it was something that had him completely charmed. It was in the way the Korean man acted, and held himself. His nickname, Cinderella, completely suited him. And strangely enough, it was something HanGeng liked about him. As of late, HeeChul seemed to be trying to become more…manly. Trying to attract attention away from his feminine nickname. His hair was shorter then it had been previously, and dark in color as opposed to the fiery red that went with his passionate persona perfectly. No one else paid too much attention to such tiny details, but when one’s sexuality is called into play; it may or may not be a concern. In this situation, the china boy thought it important to him to keep his, possible like-love, feelings for the other man a secret from the other twelve members of the band; including HeeChul.

HeeChul looked over at the other Asian man. Hankyung, the native Chinese seemed to be deep in thought. Dark eyes trained solely on him. The effeminate man blushed from the attention and looked away. It seemed to him, as well as everyone else in the band excluding ShinDong, that Hankyung had been developing some sort of inner conflict over the past few months. HeeChul couldn’t help but think it had something to do with their relationship. They lived together, ate together, worked together, and sometimes HeeChul even did some questionable “performances” on national television, and privately. Things like “kissing” and standing just a little too close. Behaviors that the fans enjoyed from the star couple of Super Junior. Cinderella suspected that China Boy had been developing tender feelings for him. Needless to say, it wasn’t too much of a surprise to him, when looking back on his clingy behavior.

HanGeng sighed to himself and stood up. He turned to LeeTeuk, the leader, and excused himself. He needed some air, all this thinking was making it hard to breathe. Absently, he noted HeeChul trying to get his attention, but he ignored it and left the building. The neighborhood the band was meeting in was secluded and unknown enough that anti-fans wouldn’t be able to try to bring harm to anyone. Namely himself for his foreign status. The air was crisp and nice against his bared shoulders. If it had been any warmer it would have been suffocating to him. As he left the property to traverse through a nearby park, he completely missed the taller man following him.

HeeChul bit his lip as he followed his friend. He was worried. As any friend would be. It wasn’t everyday that someone you cared about was so down they ignored you so completely. He looked back at the building they were meeting in, and waved KiBum away. In the circumstances, if a confrontation were to be made, it would be best if it were made with only the two people directly involved present. But, would a confrontation be made? Or would they simply walk back together and try to go on as if everything was perfectly normal?

“Hankyung!” HeeChul called out, trying to get the attention of his ailing friend. The other man looked back, his eyes wide in surprise. Like he had been expecting to be left completely alone. Like he thought no one cared enough about him to follow him.

HanGeng turned around, his eyes wide, not expecting HeeChul to follow. It would have been easier to pass off as just a bad day if it were anyone else. He stopped in his tracks and turned back the way he had been going. Waiting for his “secret crush” to catch up to him.

“What’s wrong? It’s not like you to be so withdrawn. Is it anything I can help you with?” HeeChul unconsciously placed his hand on Hankyung’s lower back. His fingers curling just slightly into the material of the Chinese man’s shirt.

HanGeng cringed slightly, not wanting to say anything. But not wanting to keep anything from his best friend. “I—it’s nothing.”

“Don’t lie to me!”

“Sorry.” HanGeng refused to reveal anything more to the other man.

HeeChul pouted, his grip on Hankyung tightening. “Hankyung, you can trust me with anything. I’m worried; let me share your burden.”

HanGeng bit his lip, refusing to meet the other’s eyes.

“Is it--is it about your feelings for me?” HeeChul turned Hankyung to face him.

HanGeng’s eyes widened, his lips parted. “How--how did you--”

“You’re an open book.” The Korean man laughed, glad that nothing serious was wrong with his friend.

“HeeChul, you’re…you’re not disgusted with me?”

The other man smiled softly, “why would I be?” And he enfolded Hankyung in a tight hug.

HanGeng smiled softly into HeeChul’s shoulder. His arms wrapped loosely around his affection’s waist. It was good to him, that his feelings didn’t seem wrong anymore. He fought against the hot tears that threatened to fall. His grip tightened and he pushed his face into HeeChul’s neck.

“Thank you.” Hankyung murmured into his neck. The Chinese man’s voice quivering. Breath hot and wet on his skin. It was a different situation for HeeChul. But not one that he was adverse to trying.
