Like every once in a while, I remember I it has been a long time since I have drawn a proper dragon drawing.This time its the finished drawing of [link]
Used markers, colour pens, colour pencils, pencils, multiliner pen, and crayon for this piece.
Im really happy with how it came out, but it made me feel how limited I am in my current medium.
For instance, I mainly use markers for basic colouring, background and big surfaces. But I only had one red marker, two greens, one yellow, one orange ect.
This is actualy the reason why I started to use mixed media in the first place, to compensate for my lack of colours.
But still its a world of difference between digital painting, when you have full controll over the hue, saturation and volume, and a traditional piece in which you have a specific set of colours.
Tried to create a dynamic shading\lighting, with varying colour for the shadows and such. And personally I believe it came out well XD;;

Need to get more markers though one day.. if only there was a shop that sells them in my city ><;;

But its ok, if I had lots of marker I might wouldnt have tried to use them with other things (pens, pencils, water colours and everything else XD)
Most of my markers I bought in Japan, when I still wasnt sure how usefull they are and how much will I use them (and they are quite expensive).
So next time Ill be there..
