at first the bg was blue like normal, but i don't know... i just had this urge to change it to pink. ◕‿◕
and for you critics, just critique on the coloring. (:

Yay for opposing colors! This shows you somewhat planned your pallet, and I think it looks quite nice. The choice of yellow green on the socks instead of using the same green in the eyes or a pure green because of the overall softness of this coloring and ties into the yellow skirt and other accents. As you can tell, I enjoy your colors very very much!
Now, on to the shading. It may just be my style but I think that one should have some very dark parts. The closest to that is in the bend of the larger part of the hair in before the ponytail. The black like isn't sticking out as much and is very close to blending with it, and I like that. If those more dark shades were put into places like the upper right leg where it hits the line of the jacket, the inside of the sock closest to the leg and other places like that would establish more contrast, which I think is good.
The hair. It looks good and it looks very soft, but...It's more up to you as this style of drawing is a more simplistic one, but I wish there was a little more focus on making the hair not look like one large mass. I have to admit it looks good on this piece as it reminds me of cotton candy, but I think there may be a way to get a few more prominent strands in there or establish the direction of which the hair is coming from (your part or w/e) with those dark darks, even if it's subtle.
The background is a good static background, it's pleasant. I don't think you were trying for anything more, which is fine because it's not the focus. I'm not really sure how I feel about the sparkly dots in her aura. I don't feel that they are distracting, but I feel that they were not particularly needed.

Shows why you need someone ELSE to proof read. I know what it says in my mind so it gets filled while I'm reading. It's only when I look back after a few minutes that I see errors.
