when you don't recognize the king after he's been turned into a ghost haunting his old royal guard armor. given how stressful the last twenty years have been for them, it's reasonable that they'd forget. At least big sister karin has a good memory!They apologized to rathel magran lathalas later for not recognizing him, but he didn't really mind that they did remember who he was. after all, he had lost all of his memories, so he had forgotten as well.
