I will agree with this... completely... why?
Becuase I've been there.
Twice.
And going a third, not my choice... it's what got me dragged there for being poor and hoping to get through college. I could move to England (which is what I will do once I get out), but unfortunately... family needs money... and a 6 year contract pays BIG bucks... yeah, I'm a sucker. But I'm not fighting for my country, I just get thru everyday there hoping to whatever God is out there that everyone will just put their guns down and realize how stupid this whole thing is.
I dont support our war in Iraq.
Then again...
I don't support Islam, either.
I've seen some of your cartoons, very nice, very well drawn... some ARE a bit too bold for my tastes but I cant deny your message and talent, so well done.
Keep up the good work! Fight the good fight.
-from one of those sucker (hopefully not) soon-to be-dead soldier suckers.
P.S. the soldier mentality is usually that of comradery and regret. It's the foot soldier's experience that transform people into barbaric animals by ways of a slow psychological decay. (ala All Quiet on the Western Front)

"It's the foot soldier's experience that (wars) transform people into barbaric animals by ways of a slow psychological decay." - what a gem of timeless wisdom. Thanks for sharing it.

Wow, I love your comment.
An actual educated response from someone who can appreciate the message of art while still holding his own opinions.
If this sounds sarcastic I don't mean it to be, I am actually impressed at your open mindedness in this. (as reading some of the other comments, one can see the other side of the fence...)

I'd rather live in poverty (already do, in a psycho way) than bear arms against a human being. Peace.

This is one of your best!
It is just unfortunate that it was not submitted In the Current events : Iraq war 2003 section.
Good caricature of Mr Bush's face!

Are we going to get all the bad people now? Just like the Lone Ranger?
How about starting with the local bully who steals the kids lunch money. Are we going to send the CIA to put him in Abu Gharib and make him pose with Lyddie Englund in his underwear?
Is all of this going to actually make the world a safer place for anybody?
Food for thought.

If you believe that, then the terrorists have won.

That's the problem with terrorism, the whole concept of "winning" and "losing" doesn't exist anymore.
We can't never win, and they can never lose, as long as one of these morons is willing to blow themselves up.
Just like trench warfare and the calvary charge, the whole idea that it's possible to "win" a war is obsolete military thinking.
