not sure U.S invasion will work....Britain tried 3x to tame Afghanistan and failed, Russia (later Soviet Union) tried 4x and failed miserably. Arguably geography is one of the main, if not the biggest issue in this war. Neither side will "win"

we aren't invading Afghanistan to fight the army or government, we are invading to take down the militias located within the country, US is on afghan's side so we most likely aren't going to fail anytime soon.

I can understand being opposed to the war in Iraq, hell, I was opposed to the war in Iraq, it was a waste of lives that should never have happened. But what I can not understand is hw someone can be opposed to the US presense in Afganistan AND be in favor of the Taliban. First off, unlike Iraq, the regiem in Afganistan was involved in the September 11 attacks, second, I've read about a lot of the things the Taliban has done. I realize that the US has a lot to answer for, but some of the atrocities the Taliban are even worse.
To me, backing the Taliban in the occupation of Afiganistan is like backing the Nazis during the occupation of Germany. It just isn't right.

i think so too, for most US soldiers the reason they fight there is because they get paid for it, while to the taliban its because they believe they are on the right side.
the Soviets had a better chance than the Americans have now and they still lost. i don't support the Talibani ideals but i think they have every right to defend their homeland !

I know this because in Afghan, US soldiers always do the fucking drill and brainwashing shits to FNG from NATO troops. Yanks treated other NATO troops like their fucking pets, while the Canadians keep getting guts n blood from IED by clearing the roads, French n German got killed for scouting...while US soldiers sit their butts on our heads. But no one dare to complain, we all knew. Every single one on this earth has their rights to defend their own country.
