Many think say randomly 'pasta' 'pizza' 'mamma mia' 'buonasera' 'salute' it's speaking italian.
In true no italian say randomly 'pasta' or 'pizza' (or 'lasagne' or 'spaghetti' or any other food)
'Salute' is used in certain contests and i never use it
'mamma mia' is an exclamation that I think is more used in the southern part of Italy. I use it sometimes, but I never heard anybody from the North to exclaim 'mamma mia' other than me.
Buonasera = Good evening.
Is also true that italian is extremely easy to learn. It's only problem is that is born for literature than for communication, so you need loads and loads of word to express better a concept, even if I try to use italian language in more simple way.

Many Hetalia fans think by saying "pasta" they know Italian. Italian, like many other languages, can take months and years of practice and studying to learn. That's something those fans don't understand, I suppose.

I know, which is the sad part. It's one of the sad parts of being in the Hetalia fandom.

Indeed. That and the OTP UsUk and FrUk wars.... It's like the Twilight fandom all over again.

Oh god, that makes me so mad. I am so glad my friends support both UsUk and FrUk and don't fight over it.
I am that awkward duckling who doesn't support either of those pairings. They are like, okay, but I don't support them as an OTP. x'D
