Very nice! The angle of the image is well done and lots of lines for the eyes to follow. I actually have a goal, as of a week ago, to learn Japanese. I'm uber psyched for the challenge.

Love this image, really. It's at an interesting angle.
I would put it under conceptual.

Glad you like the angle. I did too. ^__^

Conceptual it is. I've been contemplating between that and still live somewhere. *shrug* But, conceptual works more than fine for me.

Thanks for the advice/help!

I would try to read this if I could see the whole thing.... but I can't so here is some help...

The japanese have three different types of alphabet. Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji. Hirigana and Kanji indicate Japanese words only. Katakana indicates any word that isn't Japanese-based, but most of the time it is an English word. When you are reading this, start at the top and go down... even more confusing start reading downward by starting at the left-most line and work your way towards the right.

Hiri/ Kata = english letter (prononciation)
Basic vowel sounds: the vowel sounds are absolute with the syllables.
あ / ã‚ĸ = A (pronouced "ah" as in "ha")
い / イ = I (pronounced "E" as in "whee")
う / ã‚Ļ = U (pronounced "OO" as in "shoot")
え / エ = E (pronouced "A" as in "bay")
お / ã‚Ē = O (pronouced as "O" as in "goat")
K:
か / ã‚Ģ =ka
き / キ =ki
く / ク =ku
け /ã€€ã‚ą =ke
こ /　ã‚ŗ =ko
G:
が / ã‚Ŧ = ga
ぎ / ゎ = gi
ぐ / グ = gu
げ /ã€€ã‚˛ = ge
ご / ゴ = go
S:
さ / ã‚ĩ = sa
し /ã€€ã‚ˇ = shi
す / ゚ = su
せ / ã‚ģ = se
そ / ã‚Ŋ = so
Z:
ざ / ã‚ļ = za
じ / ジ = ji
ず / ã‚ē = zu
ぜ / ã‚ŧ = ze
ぞ / ゞ = zo
T:
た / ã‚ŋ = ta
ãĄ / チ = chi
つ / ツ = tsu
ãĻ / テ = te
と / ト = to
D:
だ / ダ = da
ãĸ / ヂ = ji
ãĨ / ヅ = du
で / デ = de
お / ド = do
N:
ãĒ / ナ = na
ãĢ / äēŒ =ni
ãŦ / ヌ = nu
ね / ネ = ne
ぎ / ノ = no
H:
は / ハ = ha
ã˛ / ヒ = hi
ãĩ / フ = fu
へ / ヘ = he
ãģ / ホ = ho
B:
ば / バ = ba
ãŗ / ビ = bi
ãļ / ブ = bu
ず / ベ = be
ãŧ / ボ = bo
Pīŧš
ãą / パ = pa
ぴ / ピ = pi
ãˇ / プ = pu
ãē / ペ = pe
ãŊ / ポ = po
M:
ぞ / マ = ma
ãŋ / ミ = mi
む / ム = mu
め /ã€€ãƒĄ = me
も / ãƒĸ = mo
Y:
や / ヤ = ya
ゆ / ãƒĻ = yu (pronouced as "U" or the english "you")
よ / ヨ = yo
R: (katakana letters can also be pronounced as "L" sounds)
ら / ナ = ra
り / ãƒĒ = ri
る / ãƒĢ = ru
れ / ãƒŦ = re
ろ / ロ = ro
W:
わ / ワ = "wa" (pronouced as "wa" in a word, or as "ha" if its a particle in a sentence
を /ã€€ãƒ˛ = "wo" (pronouced as "O")
N:
ん / ãƒŗ　= "n" (pronouced as an "n" sound "peN"

Any characters not on this list are Kanji... very pretty, but very hard to read... there are over 1000 kanji characters.
Match the characters on your picture with the hiragana and katakana from this list. If you have a Japanese/ English dictionary try to find the words. (I've listed the characters in Japanese alphabetical order)
"ni, wa, wo, he " are particals... they indicate a seperation between subject and verb... the verb or action being expressed is usually at the end of the sentence.
"ka" at the end of the sentence indicates a question.

Your picture is great... I love the angle
Hope this helps... you can do it!
