i dont exactly mean it as a criticism, i mean it is technically savvy, you know what you want to do and how to do it, thats all fine. i just dont know about that face 
either "oh, ok, theres a face with some ornamental background"
or "hm... nice abstract ornaments... oh WAIT, wooow, ther is a FACE right here!"
and i think i would like one or the other more than a bit of both. just my observation...

well, for one thing, it's not abstract. and it's not "some ornamental background". this is a full picture of a figure, not just a face, but a being in a spiritual/emotional/physical landscape. there are mountains, constellations, a stylized ammonite and a lotus full of crystals. it's just the way it is. it's art. my art. and an extremely personal piece full of my own symbolism and life experience/perspective. it's energy, it's a dream and it doesn't have to be anything else. either you see it and feel it, or you don't.

fair enough, i was talking about the first impression of the image. to me, i see "face" and "bunch of stuff". when i observe it closer i can make out the more detailed things out of the "bunch of stuff". but the face i see immediately, i dont have to make it out. im not disputing the fact that it is your art, and you make it whatever YOU need to make it. on the other hand, i am the beholder... i am telling you what my feeling is, when i look at this piece of art. it may very well be, that i just dont "see of feel" what you portray - and thats fine too. good luck to you in your work!
