The detail in this central "eye" is exquisite!
Strange that I would be drawn to this piece...I have a stylized phoenix on my back/ left shoulder---my design. My "Pheonix" ! (spelled my way) Thank You, She's Beautiful and exudes power without losing her femininity!

Ok, full comment required, I never post comment at all, but I can make an exception for you.

I've no knowledge enough to criticize on the technical part but on the emotions that this art makes me feel I have a very personal look.
I'm pagan and your art is generally full of pagan simbolism, perhaps you too look at the Moon with sacred love or maybe you simply like certain simbols as psychedelic or hippy art.
My spirituality and my beliefs makes me feel your art as sacred rather than profane and I find the mayority of your works suitable for my (real only in dreams world) cerimonial chapel.
Besides religion I love the way you merge various elements in armony with a good eye for the final outcoming, maintaining at the same time a personal set of recurrent simbols, and the deep auto-consciousness that emerges from this and all your drawings.
This takes me to the real matter of this post: you.
From the little clues that I have surely I can't say that I know you, it will be an exaggerate lie.
But I think I'm able to "guess" almost a little fragment of your personality and personal history: a girl with her pains and her tears but also with a deep confidence in herself and in something shining on her.
You're emotionaly intense, tied to nature and a metaphisical world that's your own, and resolute to be a warm diamond. The genre of girls I usually fall in love. (Luckly you're safe at one ocean of distance...)
Back on the art piece I think it maybe reflects your metaphisical view and it's also a summary of most of your gallery.
Finally from a stilistic point of view it's one of your better drawed art for me, but as I've previously said I'm ignorant and simply can't judge, I can only say that I love it a lot.
Maybe I'm totally wrong but I's all I argue of you and your art, surely my horrible skill at talking english and my current headache may make all this post not understandable or very misundertandable but if there's some answers I'm here, good art honey!

I think that it's an interesting piece... everything is beautifully drawn, but I'm having a hard time figuring out the story. I mean, of course no one is going to know what you meant by this...but even I'm having difficulty making it into a story of my own. MMMkay.
this piece is shown in a light I havn't seen before. It shows the vastness of the women itself. Not exactly in physical form (of course) but in subjectivity (that's a physchologist word for mentality.)
I would have to say this is hard to understand because I'm a guy. I am certainly wondering about the eye in the snatch on the bottom right. The 'twirly thing' (yes I did read most of the above quotes) refers to yin yang. I wouldn't give that much emphasis on the third eye myself for that's just not what I see in here, or anywhere else for that matter. In fact I don't need another eye to see what I want to see. Litterly though. (i've seen beauty with my two eyes and I don't need another, and I think we are all in unity without even realizing it.)
I don't know if you notice but, we each depend on each other. Men and women are so opposite that they attract. we are attracted to the opposite, and that is why we are round. I see we often want division in this society and that is what brings conflict. Conflict for example are wars. Wars, division, the basic concept of hatred and misunderstanding. For everything is so similar that people tend to ignore it. We grow like trees. Either surrounded or alone. Beauty is in solitude. I look at the tree on the hill rather then the trees in the forest. All so surrounding and looking down on me. In either menacing or knowledgable fashion. Grouped together we all look the same; and for some reason we strive to be grouped together and all the same. Of course there are people who live on the hill of loneliness and wisdom; for without all the chatter amongst the other people we become enlightened. But there are really no set rules or restrictions or methods. for your 'twirly thing' emphasizes this. The world is round and so is everything in it; in us. Two sides, but both in unity and held together. All living to die. Everyone. blooming in sometimes and frosting and depressing in the others.
You give a certain significance to your woman that doesn't belong there. Women aren't better than men nor are men better than women. Although more often then not we are treated that way. Or are projected that way. Or are attracted to the opposite, so in actuality we all envitably fulfill our natural role. Women are beautiful but are alone by themselves. You probably already recognize this and we're trying to put this in your drawing here. Most certainly. The moon seems to give you mystery for you have them throughout. But I'm still stating my opinion of existentialism. which i think that we are still very similar to animals with more imagination. In fact I see ugliness still within us and without us. Tell me what you think. Tell me why you believe in spirituality.
I noticed the flower just now and the tree like figue growing nect to the woman. Which probably shows what I just said. I very much notice that you are bearing (did I spell that right?) yourself. And I notice your very complex and have a lot of ideas in your head. Tell me. I wrote all this anyway. I need someone for a discussion.

ok, well since I'm faving this I'll try and say what it means to me, but I'm not used to analysing images, so I may not put it as clearly as I'd like... sometimes I like to press my fingers against that third-eye place between my eyebrows when it feels tense (maybe it's a pressure point or something), it's soothing somehow and even though there isn't a physical eye there (lol, that would be scary!), touching that spot brings the third eye to mind (by association) and makes me wonder about how humans are evolving. When you read the news, it seems as though it's all grim, but I think that's a false impression. I think people are gradually getting more aware, although of course that could cause a few problems on the way . And the moon and the flower both make me think of evolution too, or rather something developing, decaying and developing all over again, which is perhaps what happens with evolution. Anyway, evolution, especially the future for humans. That's where this pic takes my thoughts. I don't know whether that's anything like your intention though...

ok... my feelings...

it makes me feel like im in a dream state... i have had dreams were i fly over surreal planes and this piece reminds me of those dreams... theres obviously a lot of symbolism in it.. third eye, crescent moon etc... the only thing i dont get are the tears underneath the eye... everything else about this piece makes me feel very calm and serene.. but the tears i feel are a little to melancholy for the rest of the piece... unless its another added symbol for the elements of earth air fire water...

by the way... i love love LOVE the hair... amazing!!!

Ok ..so i do like the knotwork in the hair...the eye bit and the squiggly round forms...but if ya twist me arm, i'm gonna say that it lacks composition and direction...Personally i think a good work of art should lead the eye in and tell it a story, but with this it's just little bits all over..Like i said, no real composition.....

It looks both spiritual and erotic to me. Perhaps, it is a symbolic doorway to another realm where dreams are reality and vice versa. The elemental style is quite fascinating. Introspective and serene, yet uninhibited and dangerous as well. I was thinking of a more pleasurable Pandora's Box. Gorgeous details and fantastic form. The eye looks amazing.

First of all I want to say this is an amazing work, perfectly detailed, congratulations

Now here goes my interpretation based on elements that compose the work:
Eyes are the architype of inner wisdom, understanding of your own self, people who seek & learn this often draw eyes without a face.
Trees is the same but for the outerworld, understanding Gaia.
The moon for me is very feminin, with a strange kind of magic connection with the woman.
Lotus flower, the perfection.
The mushrooms, probably representing your psychedelic experience.
The hair, the complexity of your mind.
And finally the third eye, the base of this work, the source for creativity, I can see the all the elements flowing from there......by the way the eyes are very well achieved she really seems to be in trance.

for me it means the complexity and the perfection of the woman, her perfect connection with mother nature and the spiritual world

Ahhh I always hated when we had to analyse poems in school, 'cause the poet thought on one thing, the teacher saw something else and we saw something totaly else
Nevertheless I can't deny that uour drawings hav a deeper meaning. So what I see is:
The most time when u draw eyes, they always cry. Well the most of the time. Wich maybe means that u sufferd a lot, or had many difficulties in the past, or have some even now.
The faces u draw ar sad or very serious. Wich reflects as well that u have a lot to think about and a lot of things to worry about. The big zic-zac hair, wich curves in all directions expresses maybe life itself ith the many roads that we can chose, and the complicatedness(I know its incorect^^) of life itself.
Many times u have a lot of motives in your drawings, as egyptian motives, or keltik. The treee here ight be a life tree or family tree, but i think rather a life tree.
The planets and the reflecting univers in your eyes mean that u like the misticism of the univers itself.
The bottom right figure is just beatifull I dont know what to say else about it

Well that's wath I think. Scuse me if I did write total mambojambo but I'm kinda emotional last weeks and I see oonly trouble and problesm in life, so it might be that I only wrote down how I fell nowm but that really is what I see in this drawing.
Oh and ecscuse me for my grammar mistakes^^

I just love watching you evolve.

As this is a soul self portrait of sorts, I appreciate how this incorporates elements from your previous pieces, most notably the treeoflifemural, the hair style from innerisis, and your indescribable chaotic patterning to be found within the iris, which is so characteristic of much of your art.

I feel mostly intuitively that the art depicts your Third Eye, which is the central symbol, as the outlet and perhaps even source of these hyperdimensional structures that are in the process of being released (crying, the tears). The energy as it were is then translated into a plethora of apprehensible forms, surrounding the nexus that is your Third Eye. This accounts for the eclectic nature of the art, which seems to say much about your lunar, feminine being.

Additionally, I think I see a vagina (bottom right).

One remarkable thing this peice does seem to do is suspend these artifacts in a three dimensional space before my eyes, as if the elements were all floating independent of each other in a tangible space. Like looking out a window (in this case, the window is the Third Eye). And as I continue to feast my eyes with these additional thoughts in mind, I subjectively affirm "stronger" feel of it qualitatively.

Why is is stronger? When comparing the number of individual objects in this art, it becomes apparently that it's a great deal denser than most of your previous, packing more symbolism for the punch and more possibilities and potential for creative association. When comparing the style mostly talked about in terms of shading, it's dimensionally deeper and more giving to the eye. This is especially the case with the kinetic female form in the bottom right, which best accentuates that fullness of the style. Coloration looks generally richer and more defined, and because it's not colored, forms are emphasized. The symbolism is so greatly encompassing of you, or rather, the "you" which I know by it being revealed your other art.

I could go on, and on. Your art is a wellspring for me.

Peacefroggie [2006-03-21 09:38:21 +0000 UTC]

Hey, OK to start off with, you're my new favorite artist around here since the other folks stopped making stuff, and yous just keeps getting better. So uh, commentary...looks like the base is a landscape, like you've got your horizon, a tree, sky with some tricked-out spheres and stuff that's like a moon and some stars, around the big eye. Very surreal like, and the shrooms down at the bottom definitely helps with that. And you've got some symbolism there that I can't figure out, like the hummingbird, and that swirly thing with the yinyangs.

Basically I'm not going to be able to "figure it out", it's like when I always ask for deep commentary on my
writing, well, I'm the only one who really gets it, and it's not so obvious that anyone could just catch on just by reading it over a few times, and if it was then it wouldn't be as good. And explaining it point by point kinda ruins it too, it's that sort of mystery that makes good pieces of art really kick ass.

One thing I do notice is a couple of trademarks, the sort of thing you see all across psychedelic art and that is, first, the girl's hair style has that sort of swirling pattern that's really tough to get, and I'll bet you'd put more of it all across the background if you cold do it without distracting from the rest. Second is all the spherical things there, and the biggest one, the eye, it's crying and that's something that gets repeated sometimes, it's like "the sky is crying"
