Thank you! You have to be really careful to not smudge. I try to not let my hand directly touch the paper and use a piece of paper as a barrier. I also use layers of workable fixative while I'm working, usually only 3 - 5 coats though because it begins to build up and negatively alter the surface of the paper. Inevitably it happens from time to time, and I spill things on my originals.. or my cat walks across one...

Well, I didn't work on it for 4 years in any sort of solid way. I didn't touch this at all for over a year but I'm definitely glad I went back to this piece again. Currently trying to finish up some other older works too.... it's a struggle but I also can't stand that strangely haunting tug of unfinished work.
