Sadly, I never got a chance to write him in. And everybody is so strong now, they're be no contest. 

Haha, maybe once everyone gets back to Earth and has a happy ending, I'll write a cracky one-shot where Piccolo Diamao shows up and declares his plans for world domination, only to be totally trounced by Goku and Vegeta.  Kind of like what Dragon Ball Super did with Future Trunks vs. Babadi in the alternate timeline.

I got it. Some time after they return, Vegeta sees Piccolo "skulking" around and thinks the Namekian is one of Frieza's goons. The two fight and Vegeta tries to use the SSJ transformation but finds it hard to do so and the fight is ultimately broken up by Goku and introduces the two. Vegeta explains the Super Saiyan thing and Goku suggests they train with Kami, reminded by Piccolo

Or maybe since Goku is in his early-mid teens, he could've had his conflict with Piccolo Jr already, who is just as strong as Goku. A possible idea could be that he lives with "uncle" Kami.

Heck, you could have the conflict already happen and Piccolo does his "lone wolf thing" and just never shows up until they get back to Earth.

I kind of like the idea of Piccolo already having happened, even if it's never mentioned in the story. Although, Krillin and company would have already been wished back once with the Dragon Balls, so wishing back Nappa wouldn't have been as special. And I left Tien, Chiaotzu, and Launch out of the story completely (to keep the cast small). You're right, though.  Goku and Krillin living with Uncle Kami would be an awesome good idea, since Kami's Lookout is much closer to West City than the Kame House is.  I never specifically mentioned where the boys lived, since traveling all the way from the East District to go to school in West City every morning would be a terrible commute.

Oh no!  I'm ending the story with the next chapter, but you've got me thinking about all these great ideas.  Maybe I'll do a sequel... or a set of one-shots.  I have a bunch of smaller adventures bouncing around in my brain that I'd love to set in the Blending In Universe.  It's such a fun space to play in.  I'm sad to lose it.

I'm not going to get to this in the story, but yes, Vegeta is definitely going to need some help mastering the Super Saiyan form.  He was able to transform against Frieza due to a rage trigger and dire necessity.  It's going to be a while before he can call on the form at will.... unlike Goku, who figures it out much more quickly (the little jerk).  Kami would be a wonderful sensei, particularly in developing Vegeta's mental stamina.  I've always written Vegeta as slightly frazzled during battles, because he's trying so desperately to focus on everything at once, rather than just one objective.

Glad to hear. I even wrote up a little dialogue for when the Saiyan prince meets the demon prince
