Description

I do many of these: I select my rubbish, I use many jars and tupperware to take food to work or to keep it for a longer time (e.g. in a freezer instead of plastic bags), I try not to use straws if it's possible, I use a water filter so that I don't buy water in plastic bottles (and all the people who know me, know that I drink A LOT of water... before using the filter, I had been buying a lot of bottled water... ugh), I use cloth in the kitchen to dry things, I buy food without packing if it's possible, I take a fabric bag with me so I don't need to buy bags in the shop everytime I do my everyday shopping. If I don;t have a bag with me, I ask the cashier to take a paper box to pack my shopping. I wear clothes many seasons and also I wear clothes from other people (mainly things my sister doesn't want to wear anymore - we are the same size). As a creative person, I have an ability to mix clothes in the way they look original and fashionable even if they were bought e.g. 5 years ago If I don't want to wear sth anymore, I give it to people who have too less money to buy it in the shop. If my clothes are damaged, I wear them when I clean up the house or work in my garden (so that it's not a problem when I damage them more) and then I use them as washclothes e.g. to tidy the bathroom etc. My clothes have long life
I don;t throw away things only because I am bored with them ;-O I always try to give them to others. We have a sun panels on the roof to make energy (we can use the energy mainly to warm the house during the winter). I don't buy new plastic bags, but I have some old ones, I use them as long as this is possible or reuse them as rubbish bags. I use paper gift bags to take my breakfast to work
and I use them as long as it;s possible. People say it looks elegant
There are probably more things but I may not remember them now because they're normal for me
I have my own fruits in the garden - no pesticides and stuff!
If I go for a grill or sth with my friends, I have reusable plastic mug so I don;t use one use plastic ones. I just wash it. etc.etc.
What I would like to change in my life is to eat less meat (I try...) and to buy a bike. I live in a village, so I have to use a car to go anywhere. It's OK if I have to go to work, because I have 30 km to go, but if I want to go to the local shop quickly, it would be better to use a bike instead of a car.
I have a problem with the menstrual stuff. I was thinking about a menstrual cup, but I use public toilets very often because of my job and I don;t believe they're clean... especially that I was sick once because of using the public toilet and I know what it means :/ I can;t imagine that I touch a door handle and then I try to take a mooncup out of my body with the same hand... you know what I mean... It happens very often that there's no wash-basin in the wc cabin so I can;t wash my hands after touching the door handle :/

Sometimes unpackaged food can get way more costly, as is bar shampoos. While they mean well, most climate changing problems come from the major corporations not offsetting their carbon emissions and polluting. The common folk all going vegan and buying second hand isn't going to save the planet. Also, a lot of thrift stores may not have as much clothes variety for those underheight nor overweight nor overheight.

This! Also if suddenly everybody goes vegan we suddenly still need a lot of plants to produce our food. Resulting in monocultures and exploiting of the soil... And what about major corporations just giving a lot of fucks about people in other countries, taking up all their water, so that they can get Lithium for the batteries or get avocados, etc.
It's a start, looking to improve our own lifes, but it kind of makes me angry, the hypocricy how saving the earth is also a ware that is sold to us. I'm not trying to bad talk your deviation, just voicing some critical thoughts.
