Aly and Nawat, in a scene from Trickster's Queen. I don't know if that's his exact line, but it's close anyway. Also, it's probably a lot more meaningful when you've actually read it. Taken out of context it might be a little weird? I don't know OR care.UUUGH, Trickster's Queen, you were such an awesome book. (Uhh except the flying horses were kinda lame...)
Tammy Pierce, I will pretty much read anything you care to write.
PS, does Nawat look kind of like Dev Patel to anyone else? I just noticed it when I finished inking this, and it kind of weirds me out.

I just finished this book. Having been a child practically raised on Tortall, I goggle at the fact that it took me years to actually read Trickster's Choice and Queen. Brilliant picture.

I felt the same way after I read them! I read the Immortals in grade school, and never bothered reading anything else of hers until I was out of college- why did I wait so long? Turns out, I was still a pretty big fan.

Have you read the Alanna books (Song of the Lioness) or the Diana books (The Immortals). I read the Alanna books and gonna get onto The Immortals soon (along with my Ratha books too blah lol).

I've read all of her Tortall series- if you haven't read Protector of the Small, it's also very good! Kel is my favorite of her heroines. The Immortals was my first love though, I read it when I when I was in grade school, so it will always have this warm nostalgia for me. I hope that you enjoy them, too!

Lovely composition! The colors are perfect.
And Nawat does look a bit like Dev Patel, but that's alright. It works.
Also this may sound weird, but I love Aly's feet! I can't draw feet for crap, so I am super jealous. They're pretty much perfect.
Anyway, I just finished reading Trickster's Queen a few minutes ago, and went in search of fan art. So epic. I will miss Aly. She has been great fun to read about.

I like most everything about this - especially the lovely colors and detail - but his feather-pattern bit of skin on his arm? It looks like Nawat was wearing a brace or something; it just looks blocky.
Otherwise, nice job!

It's about a noble girl who's captured and sold as a slave, but becomes a spy for a resistance group in the nation that she's brought to. I liked it, anyway!

I loved the Alanna Chronicles, the in the hands of the goddess or something like that. but Trickster Queen is my Favorite hands down.
