Silence is something that you can immerse yourself in, something which can lose you, a warm blanket of protection from the cruel, hard world...and this captures the essence of it perfectly. Beautiful.

This work has sort of an effortless feeling to it. It's this kind of painting that I abvsolutely love and admire: it doesn't seem like it is trying too hard. The colors and strokes flow effortlessly, and just enough is seen, but also a great amount of the figure is not seen or is ended in the picture.
I just think that this is an inspired piece, something I would be honored to have hanging in my gallery. After finishing this piece, did you just sit back and feel so, so content with it and proud of yourself?
Rather than just being a realistic image of a figure, you've made it your own, and really made it emotion-evoking.

Beautiful piece! It makes me think of paintings of Michelangelo and da Vinci: the soft colours, the tranquil feeling, the almost child-like figure in the piece (is it a child?). Oh, and the way something is touching the child's head (a higher power, perhaps?) gives the picture dept and makes you want to look deeper into it.
