Yeah thats about all we know too,except they first settled in Arkansas on a piece of land the government gave them, and some history on her,later her son, I think moved to Oklahoma, like yours she didnt keep the registry,plus its hard to track down, because they didnt keep birth and death records
LOL Cherokee-Irish blood, good combination eh? One Im quite proud of!! My grandma was Irish, still had a bit of the brogue in her speech, was music in my ears.

I love the sound of it myself! ^^
If I hear it enough I end up with a bit of the brogue in my own speech without knowing it
My Momma makes fun of my because I have a very strange mix of ancestry
I'm half Irish, a quarter Italian, an eighth Cherokee and the rest of me is a mix of British, German and Grecian lol
We know a lot of my British and Italian history, my family kept records all the way back to 1802 when the British line first immigrated to the USA, and my Italian side I'm only a third generation
But I wish I knew more

Awe me too,maybe in a past life I was Irish, weird huh? We do have good records on my great grandads side,when his family left France because of religious reasons, and can be traced all the way to the colonys, then to when a member married Cynthia.And others serving in the civil war, Then its blurry from there on..so I suppose Im French-Irish-Cherokee
Sure wish they had talked more about things, or maybe they did but were too young to listen

We are hitting snags about getting records and tracking things overseas
and we are also having issues with getting anything from the reservation since we don't have any of the paperwork or registry. I wish the world back then would of been more accepting, I grew up hearing the older generations referring to those with Indian or Irish blood heritage as those with dirty blood...
Parts of my family still shun us for being mixed blooded
