Because I can! Mahahaha!!! I know this sounds mean but this was fun to draw. (sorry Korra)Cha! I roughly copied it off a screen shot, when Korra was fighting the equalists, and it looks she is losing the battle at the moment. This series is going to be more awesome than I thought! I mean whats not to like about it!?
The bad guys wear outfits that make them look like their about to go snorkeling on the great barrier reef, but really their running around the streets of united republic trying to kill benders and sulking about how benders get better treatment and what not, What's not to love!

Imagine if Guns are invented by the Equalists in Avatarverse like Pistols, Shotguns, SMG's, Assault Rifles, Sniper Rifles and LMG's they could instantly kill any Benders. I wish it was real instead they using Martial Arts and Chi-blocking abilities.

That would be pretty badass. I guess it would be an unfair fight almost, benders would be obliterated XD (I really want that to be a thing.)

For me it's more Realistic to me, it's because i wanna see any Terorist kill any innocent people like Benders also it's more similar to the real-world Muslim terrorists (like ISIS or Al-Qaeda) who use their Religion as a Political-Ideology rather than faith. Also i wanna see them kills not just Benders but also non-benders who protect benders against the Equalists but also the Nations have their own Non-Bending soldiers who use Guns too.
In my opinion the Anti-Bending terrorism must continue in any fanfics despite that they're defeated by Korra.

You know, if guns exist, they will likely be the weapons for non-Benders.
It would be hilarious if they still have bows and arrows in this new Avatar show (unless they mechanized them).

I think if you you were a metalbender you would be able to deflect them etc. but if they got shot, end of story for them.
One of the equalist's had electric duel sword things that was pretty cool.
