There's definitely a bit of the dark here. Thanks!

Reading the largest printed letters situated at the height of his right eyebrow reduced some suspense..
This is the first time I see that city's name ( near his chin) in mirror image

yes! i love the slow peeling of the paper. i usually do it when it is not quite dry so the blending is even smoother but sometimes i am annoyed by the white, unprinted fibres that shine through ... this one is exceptionally nice. bonnet off again!

Sometimes I like the contrast between emerging image and paper to be sharp (fuzz), but sometimes the paper fiber gets in the way. And when that's the case, I dip my finger in some gel (I use soft gel because it seems to be more transparent) and rub. It works remarkably well to remove/conceal the leftover paper. Glad you like this one...thanks!

ah, good advice. i am working on the very old "twinkle, sparkle" book at the moment and will try it with gel. thatnks.
we should start something new over at the daughters', don't you think?

I am so embarrased that I have neglected everything over here. Need to learn to be a little kinder to myself. I was thinking I was in the mood for an art book, though...so this sounds great to me.

i have one nearly completely prepped here. will do something in it and send on to you, okay? but it has to be another slow-rolling one ...

That would be fabulous. And slow-rolling is always good.

i am sometimes wondering how it must feel to live in a country where people can own guns ... i'm not sure it would make me feel safer, to be honest

It doesn't make me feel safer. Quite the contrary. The guy having a hissy fit in the supermarket because of a slow line could have a gun...and he could choose to use it.

Thanks, Richard...for lack of a better term, I call the blendy thing that I'm doing "painting with paper." Sometimes I just don't want those sharp cuts anymore. I guess I'm getting soft....

Well as my mother-in-law said once, "We're always going through phases!"
I like both sharp cuts and this ragged look... I'm hard in a soft way or vice-versa

I'm claiming soft-in-a-hard way. You can be hard-in-a-soft way. Phases are fun, keeps the spring in the step, especially since signs of spring round here are nil.

Okay that sounds good to me
I hear you about signs of spring. A facebook friend in North Carolina mentioned spring yesterday - LΓΊcia said she was feeling it the other day - and I'm listening to the cold wind blow, looking at the (thin but still) snowscape, and feeling winter.
