The light is absolutely beautiful. The yellow leaves almost look as if they're on fire.

I've seen a lot of traditional painted landscapes like this.
But you're one of the few that amazes me somehow, I don't know if it is the technique or the colours you used... but this not only looks like fall but it has the certain feeling in it too!
I love the light in this one, very well put!
I only got one thing to say; I seem to have to try a bit of that honey!

You know I think some paintings really carry the mood because the memory is so unforgetable. I value the peaceful moments.
Thank you so much for commenting, I really appreciate it.

At first the perspective seems a little wonky, then you get the feel of the ground and the texture of the road and it's all just right. I really like this. I think that oil is one of the most challenging mediums.
Nice.

I like to hear how people come to there opinion on how they feel about my paintings. Very cool I'm glad you like it. The more I paint the more I love oil. It's like the colors have their own personality just like people do. Some work together and some are overbaring and on and on...

It seems the hardest of them all. Sure acrylic is fast drying so you have to get it right, etc etc. But still, my love is with oil. XD
It is a fabulous piece.

Have you ever tried oil over acrylic? I don't know how permanent acrylic is but it is a fun experiment.

I think, depending on the maker, pretty permanent. And faaaassssttt drying. It impresses me in a whole different way.

I say the permanent thing because I went to the museum a while back and wondered why a painting from the 1500's had green saints in it. It was bacause they used alizarin crimson and over time it dissappeared from the pallet. So wierd right? I love acylic too. I'm an impulsive painter. Oil teaches me patients

And they did. I think I bought something else there too but I can't remember what it was. It is tucked way back in the mountains and it was so quiet there unlike the loud city that I live in.

I love the mountains. On our honeymoon we made love in the snow, in June! It was hot (weather as well but still lots of snow, scattered around. Incredible. We walked naked the whole day wearing backpacks and boots, nobody around except some sheeps and reindeers. Crazy.

So glad my painting was an inspiration to remember a hot day And again, I live in the city and even when we hike in the backwoods of our mountains there are random people. Your story reminds me of The Outlander Series I've read. So romantic.

From the photograph: Nice impasto technique with bold contrasts. You've incorporated many styles straddling impressionism and expressionism. Well done

What a great compliment! Thank you so much. I like to experiment so much and I think that when I'm studying up on all of the different techniques the are like a stew and I mix them into one painting.

My favorite season too. It's so nice that it follows summer. It gets so hot hot here and the first time I have to where a sweater and smell smoke from the chimneys I breathe a sigh of relief.

I'm like you....I don't do well with heat. I tend to dread summer. So I will just sit and stare at your painting

Olympus Evolt 500 is good for detailed photos. I like my little Nikon Coolpix P4. I take it everywhere with me and it takes good pictures and is far less pricey.

I LOVE this piece. It is absolutely gorgeous.
I once attempted a similar scene but by the time it was done ended up here [link]
which is nice but NOT at all what I had hoped for or started out to do.
