We can easily feel it is a hot when everything is happy. I like the texture of the sky, and the hills in the background are awesome, part of the Okanagan mountainside. The shape of the pier is funny, I like the fact it is now concave.Finally, the water limpidity near of the waterside is nicely done.

Thanks, G. This one was easier than the winter one. I'm way more familiar with the Okanagan (grew up there), plus painting "in season" helps. It would be harder to paint this scene in the dead of winter!

Mostly because I wasn't feeling like painting snow when it was 30°C outside.

The way you bend the dock is marvellous.
I used to love to sit out the dock, and watch the wildlife...you've turned into a magical place...a DIFFERENT magical place.
I used to lie on my stomach on the dock, gazing into the water.
Always looking for something that's moving.

I really like Winfield -- but I love all of the Okanagan
