Sorry for the stupid title, it makes joke of the Holmes verbatim “Data! data! data! I can’t make bricks without clay.” (The Copper Beeches)This is my humble contribution to the Shwatsonlock Valentines's Day Contest on the Holmes-Watson group ... stupid art is stupid but here they are, Holmes being prepared from Watson for their date together.
Holmes clean shaved as he should be in his best mood days (of course when he is depressed and moody and he illtreats himself with drugs/alcol/whatever he drags himself sloppily around... sorry ACD but you cannot pretend that a bipolar man could be always clean shaved while he is in his down moments. It's just no right and realistic, you know? But I love you the same Sir, you're my huge HERO!)
Hope you'll like it *bows humbly* I just love to draw my beloved lads with the faces of RDj and JL!

But I understand why the poor Holmes is able to get tidy only one time in the movie: he is always chased and out of his home the most of the time and the whole movie's adventure is done in few days...
Indeed we see him tidy again at the end, finally at home, and with his waistcoat and his shirt well adjusted and clean and ironed, and the hair clean and so electric and poufy LOL! XD Anyway in canon ACD never told us how Holmes combed his hair, so free interpretation is free, even if slicked hair is the best (with some hair on the forehead that is sexy YUM!)XD You know, there is who says that canon!Holmes is blonde... Aurgh!!! XD XD XD Please NOOO! Blonde Holmes hurts my eyes! *brain bleach*

I STILL THINK HIS HAIR NEEDS TO BE SLICKED. it's just how the character FEELS, no matter the logistics. Hooked nose, slicked hair. RDJ can totes have stubbly moments and stuff because Holmes does cocaine, I mean, srsly...but for the MOST PART he should be SLEEK. (and livanov-esque. Livanov is still DA BESTEST.)

I truly hope Guy will fix the sloppy look he gave to RDj even because the poor one wanted to be clean shaved and with lovely clothes but Guy has this fetish for rough men... LOL Indeed in the premieres, RDj is always dressed like his characters as he feels they should be dressed... and if you look at the dresses he wears in Holmes' premieres you can imagine his vision of Holmes character: well dressed, clean and shaved.
Anyway HAVE YOU SEEN THE RUSSIAN HOLMES OMG YAYYYYYYYYYYY!!! Livanov/Solomin the bestest in the world FOREVEEEEEEER!!! Now for me are side by side with RDj/JL because yeah, the world is changing and for me, that I'm holmesian from my birth, it's a refreshing new take that made me love the character even more! <3

Well you love Holmes always sleek, me never imagined him sleek while reading and reading the books, even because sleek look doesn't fit to an outsider like him but of course this is MY vision! The truth is that I really don't care how Holmes combs his hair because what counts for me is his amazing fragile personality! I could write books and books about his personality and how he is delicate despite the rough and rude armour he has created around him! Sigh... so realistic! So true! He really cannot relate to none, then it comes Watson... sigh!

So, holmes has EXACTLY THE SAME OUTFIT--in the new movie when he's picking reardon's lock and watson busts in, and in 'the acquaintance' with the russian version, where holmes' is picking the lock to 221B and watson shows up with his set of skeleton keys. EEEEE. SAME HAT. SAME GLASSES. SAME EXPRESSION. AND THEY LOOK. EXACTLY. THE SAME. I'm like, how does that even happen, their facial features are SO DIFFERENT, but rdj and livanov...same.
D'AWWWW...I WAS SO SURPRISED AT HOW SKINNY SOLOMIN!WATSON WAS WHEN THEY WERE BOXING! HE'S GOT A ROUND HEAD BUT A THIN NECK AND SUUUUPER THING TORSO...he's yummy...
I think I like the sleek because of the original illustrations...Holmes is so iconic-i've seen his motif all my life. I'm not sure what I would think the character looked like if I had never been imprinted with other people's ideas...but I have been. So oh well. *shrugs* I just hope RDJ gets cleaned up in the next film. 8D

Yeh, I am in Japan for over a year now, celebrated anniversary on the 3rd of April, though, i finally moved to Kyoto ^_^~ I'm actually now a Master course student in Manga Faculty of Seika University, majoring in Manga Studies, rather than drawing though.
Oh ok, but really, dear, I will have to ship them first to know the weight and how much shipping is(probably around 5$). I think Simple AirMAil is good, won't be too pricey, but still reasonably safe. Or woudl you like an insured package? I'm not sure how trustworthy are Post Services in Italy?
