At last, I have finished my first reference sheet. A very, very basic one at that. I meant to only put in a few facts but ended up writing his backstory. Exposition city, the lowest form of storytelling D: lol I hope you can make sense of it.

Let's see, he's a black dragon, hybrid, teenager, a tragic past... ummm.... well... don't give me that look! He's not all emo and stuff, and his parents are very nice (and not dead). Oh, and he's not evil. Black dragons don't always have to be evil.

Some things I forgot to add:
He has a human form and a rider.
While his flight abilities are above average, especially for volcano dragons, his hybrid anatomy is not stable, and long and/or strenuous flights cause him serious muscle degeneration.
He's obsessed with always looking his best and keeping clean.
He loves most tree fruits, but he pretends to be carnivorous when around other volcano dragons.
He does not consider himself better than other species but acts like that anyway because he is expected to.

Feel free to point out typos or things that just plain don't make sense (in the realm of dragons, anyway).
