thanks, this is one of my current favourites. Sometimes I think I like the titles better than the images.

What a wonder piece. I like the effects you achieved with the techniques mentioned above. I was quite puzzled at first trying to figure out how one could get this look from a photograph.
Unique and well done.

darkroom really is magic.
it makes me happy because anything is possible.

I have played with B&W in a darkroom quite a bit, but I was horrible with color. Everything looked like crap.

Heh. Some things we are simply not meant to understand, hm?

Some artistic inspiration is based on life-altering, often traumatic events. If you don't mind me asking, was this the case here and what happened?

in this case there was no trauma. I painted the eviscerated man in Brooklyn about 10 years ago with the intention of bringing him to Coney Island to shoot, but I never found the right spot.
So I have carried him from house to house waiting until it's time.
The whole series, and the last one, are the result of my being sequestered in my house for the past 7 months, and for the foreseeable future.
All I have to shoot is what is here, the house itself or myself.
The 13 combines all 3.

I use brushes to apply developers, bleaches and toners which does translate nicely, I think.
Thanks for the kind words.

i can't quite make out the behaviour of the figure seated... but i wouldn't mind a pair of those light blue swimming trunks by jingo!

I'm not sure that red would look good on my washing line... crimson/purple perhaps or turquoise... i like intense colours a lot.... red, blue.......

This may well be my favourite of those so far.
It's almost absurdist.

I believe because it is absurd.
