Description
This is the generation of poor fathers.Misguided are we.
They shout, they push, they fight.
Is this right?
Is it right that I fear my father?
Is it right that I'm afraid he'll hurt me?
When he's supposed to protect me.
Is it right he makes me fear other fathers?
I'm not sure anymore.
Our fathers are wiping off our rare smiles.
Invading our genuine happiness.
They take it out on us when it isn't our fault.
But our mother's.
Rather me, than her, I suppose.
This is the generation of unsupporting fathers.
We're so lucky.

I don't know what it is about fathers and our generation. I wonder if this has been as bad an issue for all time or if its something unique to this one but its true that very few fathers are what they should be.
My friend told me once that family is what you make it. I guess you have to look outside your family to find the people you really consider your father, or mother, if your real ones aren't living up to your expectations.
