I kinda miss those things from previous seasons... Season 8 could do better with some of it

Yeah...I've never been super-crazy about the series itself (I love the community and fanworks though) and I still haven't seen any season 8 from all the negative I've heard about it from really very reasonable people I know. Time will tell I guess!

I love the show, and I know I'll keep watching it whatever happens, but I don't feel as excited as I used to be for it, it's like, I fall several episodes behind and it takes me quite some time to catch up. The truth is, the plot on this season is not clear, it feels like random episodes put together and also doesn't have the same feel to it as previous seasons had. But I think it'll start to make sense at some point
