Can you teach me how to make a tablet work in photoshop in general? ._.

The thing I have found is that for some stupid reason, a lot of the brushes in photoshop do not have pressure sensitivity enabled on them by default, so you actually have to manually go into the brush settings and enable 'Shape Dynamics' for individual brushes.
Though, I suppose I should actually ask how it doesn't work first, huh?

Well, that might be it.
It's hard for me to say, as i started w/ a tablet with SAI, and in that the pressure sensitivity and brushes just... worked. Press hard = darker/thicker lines, don't press hard = thinner/lighter lines. In photoshop i've noticed... some differentiation in line thickness, but it's not much and very hard to control. If that makes sense.

Which version of photoshop are you using? I've noticed that the brush quality can be really different in different versions. Until recently I had cs2 which was almost unusable for drawing imo, but now I have cs5 and the brush control is much better.
What I ended up doing with cs2 is going into the tablet settings and making the tip softer so it would take less effort in photoshop, then messed around with the brush settings in SAI (normally minimum size) so they weren't too soft.

i have CS5.5 right now O: i can't compare it to other ps versions because up til now i've always used a mouse.
So many settings and confusion. i am going back to crayons.

Well, at least you have a good version! Yeah, hopefully the tablet setting softer-tip thing helps some. The default setting is quite firm and I cannot get behind it at all haha.
Yes, go back to crayons. You can say it is minimalist. Though really, it would probably be like "Why are there 178 colours of glitter crayons? This is dumb."

i will try it, but probably f it up and fail, then hide my failure out of shame.
When i was little my parents would let us get largish rocks, then clean them off and heat them up really hot in the oven, then let us melt crayons on them. Looking back this seems like it may have possibly been a dangerous thing to have small children do.
