Description
Ok so, I need some critique on this cause I'm doin' something ( still kinda thinkin' about doing it animated or not.. ) and I'm trying to mimic the style for practice. I got lazy on the back ground and ignore the coloring. That is to guide me on the computer of how the shadows and such will look like. Why no Gaz? I was lazy. |D
Besides Gaz would be too busy playing her Game Slave to care being there. lol
ZIM is have such a good ol' time now isn't he, just look at his happy-evil face without wearing his disguise LOL. But the humans there are usually too dumb to notice- except Dib. And GIR is well he's saying hi to us lol.
Dib looks really odd. I did give him a BIG head here. LOL.
DO NOT CRITIQUE COLORING ( IT IS A GUUUIIIDEE FOR LATER USE FOR DIGITAL COLORING ) CRITIQUE DRAWING ONLY.
I think I did ok on it. But It doesn't look like Jhonen's IZ style much only a few things make it so. This might take awhile to actually draw some decent fan art in this style. |D
Oh and perspective FTW. Finally I can draw a semi below perspective ha.

Do not take without permission. Do not take this without asking, no recoloring, claiming as your own, etc. You may use this as an icon, ID, wallpaper or whatnot, just let me know so you won't have an issue of being accused of art theft. Respect the artist. Don't be a fool.

I think that its pretty good. I like how you have the world around them bending to show a more dynamic pose. The only thing I can think of, is that if you are trying to do this from a lower perspective, like where were looking up at them in a sort of way that you would want to bring the feet forward more to show that they are a bit closer. Dib's hand should be tilted up only slightly to show that you are looking up to it.
The shading I personally think was done well on the characters and for their shadows even though you said that it was only for a guide when you color it.
I really can't wait to see the colored version e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="

It should be a little taller depending on how "perspective" you want it...almost like if you were looking at him though a magnifying glass or something weird the more you tilt it the more warped it will look. It shouldn't be too much or too little...but I suck at doing this angle...like i've literaly tried countless times but w/e one day i'll get it xD
It all depends on how "you" understand it. Like some of my sketches you would be like "wtf" but in my head I know exactly what i'm going for...so if you understand it then I think its fine because you said you were going to make a final "colored version of it too so yea I think its fine (and I understand where shadows, highlights and colors would be anyway when looking at it).

I think Dib looks off he just looks... not Dib? Perhaps I made his head too big? Cause if he's further away his head shouldn't be bigger than ZIM.. |D
I'm trying to mimic the exact style of Invader ZIM, that's why I need feedback. To know if I got the style down. I think ZIM's head should be a bit taller, and Dib's head be a bit less wide. |D
Ah I see yeah I didn't think about that when I was drawing when I was drawing Dib's arms I forgot about the perspective lol.
The original pencil sketch is much more clear and clean than this, and darker and it doesn't look too bad just that it's very messy and quickly colored. xD Which is why I didn't ask for it to be critiqued. Not saying you did just saying. XD

I think that the shadows are a touch harsh (edgewise). You will probably want to make them less defined in the final drawing.

Those are only for coloring guide. Cause it's gonna be all digital.
I just had 'em like that to guide myself the coloring when I do color it. What is the shading then normal coloring and then the highlights. Which is why some areas are very coarse. It's going to be C-celled in a dark like shading style like if it was sunset or night. I was asking crit on the drawing because it doesn't look like the IZ style but i have no idea how to draw it and what could help me on the style. |D

That's a nice drawing and makes me wonder how it would look in color.

Thanks <33
Well if you study my guides you can take a guess a bit but it's kinda sloppy. |D
It's supposed to be wither midnight or sunset. I'm still debating it. I might do sunrise because I have never tried it before. XD
