Seriously though, social media would have you believe you’re failing at life for merely existing. Remember these sites are designed to make a profit, and they succeed by appealing to our worst emotions. Perfect productivity is the shareholder’s game, not yours.

Metrics have a tendency to heighten the doubt already plaguing the mind of an artist. All I know is, it is vital to keep creating what YOU want to create. When you lose your footing, remember that consistency and quality always trumps burn out from quantity. Show up for yourself first and foremost in the act of creation. The rest will follow because of it, not in spite of it.

So dearest reader, if you are out there also fighting this internal battle as of late, please know I’m right there with you ❤️
