Dean Winchester sat off to the side of this impromptu meeting, completely dumbfounded.
He was in the year 2014. His future self was leading a small militia in the war against Satan. Cas lost his wings and had a harem of women. He still had yet to find anything out on Bobby. Sam was gone. And (y/n) was a mother.
When he actually escaped the cabin and explored the are, he was you with the little boy. It wasn't until about two minutes ago that he found out it was his child.
Apparently his future self wanted nothing to do with the boy. And yet everyone believed this was his heir to the cursed thrown.
Dean flinched as he back slapped you, no one moved a muscle to help you. By the turn of events, there was some bad blood between you, him, and Lisa. He'd find out why later. The only thing he could process now what that he and (y/n) had a son.
“C'mon (nickname),” a said, standing between you and future him. “it's almost time to start out watch.”
(Y/n) looked like she wanted to fight, but eventually walked away.
His future self looked over his shoulder to him. “Go with. See what you get to look forward to.”
“But...”
“GO! NOW!”
Reluctantly, he did.
“Hey (y/n), wait!” Dean called after you as he left the cabin.
You stopped, said something to your partner who quickly ran off, before you faced Dean. “Tread lightly Winchester. I don't care what year you're from, I will kill you.”
Dean held his hands up, “I sent me out here.”
You just rolled your eyes. “Let's go. There's a few things to do before I start rounds.”
Dean remained silent, following you every which way, just watching what his future had in store for him.
It was nearing sundown when you entered run down camper on the outskirts of this 'village'. Frowning he hesitated following you inside, but when he did he found you leaned up against the wall, arms crossed watching the little boy sleep. It was then he broke his silence. “Our son?”
You sighed from your spot. “Yeah.”
“What happened?”
“Dean...”
“(Y/n), I keep telling... me to say yes. Change the future. I need to know.”
“And I'm not willing to risk my son either. I sure as hell wasn't ready to be mother, doesn't mean I would change it.”
Gingerly, Dean slid his arm across your shoulder, rubbing his hand up and down your scared arm. “Please (y/n).”
“It was after Sam said...died.” You whispered. “You just lost your brother, it was one night.”
Dean easily put things together from there.
“When I woke up, you were gone. Found out you went to Lisa and Ben.”
Your voice cracking, you pushed him away and walked out the trailer..
Dean followed where he watched you looking up to the sky, trying to compose yourself.
“I wanted you to be happy., I did, but I thought you had the right to know. When I found out I was pregnant, I went to you, tried to tell you. You kept telling me to leave. I should have. God I should have listened. You denied everything. Last time I saw you, Lisa shoved me to the ground calling me a lying whore, all the while you just stood there.”
“How did you end up here?”
“I worked as long as I could, trying to save money. But I couldn't do it for long, so I went to Bobby. He took us in.” You wiped your eyes, facing him for the first time.
“He's had a good life?”
You nodded, “considering the circumstances. He's like...”
Dean watching your mood change instantly. All emotion was gone from your (e/c) eyes. You were on alert. Even as a hunter, you were never this attune to the surroundings.
You were reaching for you gun, tucked into the back of your jeans, when I single shot splintered the evening air.
Dean did a quick 360, scanning the area for the threat, but found nothing.
He turned back to you for answers, maybe it was a signal? But instead of you standing before him, you were lying face down on the ground, a dark pool appearing beneath you.
