Took a while to do, and I don't do lineless work like...ever. How fortunate then that Magic art doesn't use lineart. Gives me a reason to practice with it. -w-

actually there are some pictures with line art but very few.

This is also a reason why it is prob hard for me to make proper mtg artwork as i usually always have "Lines" in mah art

Yeah, I hear you there. I'm practicing to lessen the lines though; and you have to admit, those Magic cards that do have lines seem a little out of place when compared to the others. They're not bad or anything, but they make you look again.

I was playing magic against a computer...
I was using an artifact focused deck...
She had a blue green deck focused on drawing cards and getting extra mana on the field... All to summon these ridiculous creatures... one of them had a natural 12/12, Annihilitor 4 and couldn't be sent to the graveyard, just back to the deck.
However, I had alot of enchants and equips that stopped them from attacking. I also had a creature that could tap and force one of her creatures to tap with it.
So, she's drawing about 7 cards a turn... but she can't attack or destroy my creatures...She milled herself

Very nice. =3 The background is sufficiently ominous/creepy, the fog is a great touch to that, and the character and her orbs look very cool. Good job!

You're a Planewalker of "Magic the Gathering"? I have just joined the game a while ago, only with a deck.

Everyone who plays Magic is a Planeswalker, it's one of the main basis' of the game. :3

I see... but I have no experience to play it complete.

Experience will come with the more you play the game.

So do you think I need to self-taught by buy second deck?

Laxia In reply to GlitchSamo21 [2011-05-30 22:51:26 +0000 UTC]

Buying a deck isn't going to give you experience in terms of playing, only experience in playing with different deck styles. You need to learn to play with the one you have, then you'll be able to understand it better.

I know, that's where I had starting, but it won't get me anywhere. I experienced my way around the game alone with Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokemon TCG... by following the correct rulings and details.

You should find someone to play with you, someone who knows the game. That will really help.

That's where I am coming here for... I am pretty sure no one would be polite to teach a beginner like me.

Laxia In reply to GlitchSamo21 [2011-05-30 23:19:12 +0000 UTC]

It's extremely hard to teach someone online, because playing through matches is how one learns. And playing a match online...well...you can understand the difficulty of that.

GlitchSamo21 In reply to Laxia [2011-05-30 23:27:24 +0000 UTC]

I have learned Yu-Gi-Oh half time through online...

Laxia In reply to GlitchSamo21 [2011-05-30 23:34:54 +0000 UTC]

YuGiOh isn't as complex. With Magic certain abilities can cause confusion, and playing cards during someone else's turn, such as traps or instances, is really hard to keep track of. If you can't find someone to play with you in person, then do a lot of research on it, like how certain abilities are used. If you have questions about things, I'd be more than happy to answer them via note. ^^

GlitchSamo21 In reply to Laxia [2011-05-30 23:52:56 +0000 UTC]

Alright... Thanks. But I would still learning alone. Pokemon TCG was actually my first Card Game I started on, not Yu-Gi-Oh.

However I have no experience of directly play it. Tap the land can be harder than directly summon a monster.
