"You look nervous... Is it the scars?"Whew! This one took a while. It has its share of mistakes, but overall I'm decently pleased with how it turned out.
Ink pen on 9" x 12" paper. Based on pictures from the movie The Dark Knight.

I would definitely recommend taking a look at some of Howard Pyle's work. His drawings have been one of my biggest sources of inspiration.

Thanks for that. I'm putting a portfolio together to audition for an art school and they want a lot more then i can currently offer, so i need to expand my skills.
Cross hatching isn't so much different then what i've been doing, but it is enough to where i'm struggling to make things look good. Thanks for the advice, i'll check out his work right now.

Thank you. With this drawing in particular, I found it can help to take breaks and work on something else for a bit, so as not to get too burnt out.
