Description Come on Luke, you know you want to~

Commission for Maya aka ~ Was really glad to be commissioned by her, and nothing like a Layton fanart to get me kicked back into the fandom ^^

But damn, I wanted my first commission to be really awsome, but to me this is meh ;A; Chose to be bold with the character anatomy, because a commission is a great time to experiment. And why does Luke look like he's suffering from cold rather than crossing his arms X_X

Oh man, where to start? First of all, the expressions (as always with your art~) are just incredibly fun to look at - Luke's pouty and childish look right next to Clive's hilarious snarky expression just makes me giggle. x3 I AM JEALOUS OF THAT BACKGROUND AND THAT SPEECH BUBBLE, I FAIL AT BOTH OF THOSE THINGS *shot* And you pulled it off so well ;w;

The anatomy is freaking awesome, I love this "angular cartoon" style you've got going on, and the clothes, ONCE AGAIN, ARE AMAZING. I love all the wrinkles and shadows and stuff! They're just so awesome!

And Clive's little "superior" pose is freakin' hilarious. xD

To be honest, 70% of the time spent on this pic was figuring out how to draw Luke interacting with Clive D: I went through...alot of weird ideas until it came to this

I think the anatomy looks cool! Anyway I’d call this picture an almost total success, but if I was gonna suggest a reason for the ‘cold’ look, I couldn’t recommend a specific change but I’m sure it’s nothing that a bit of life drawing or drawing from reference couldn’t solve in a flash. maybe he doesn’t look slumped and sulky enough?

anyway your experiment with anatomy was a success, I’d say, and — I’ve said before, the tablet really brings out your style. There’s a real charming whimsy to the way you draw things.
