Description I've done so much art this weekend! All the pieces I've uploaded plus a full-body piece I did for a commission and a traditional piece about dragon riders.

Anyway, this is a mini-walkthough on how I draw wolves. I don't usually use photo reference (all the sketches at the bottom were done without reference) but I wanted to show how the shapes fit on a wolf. If you're trying to learn how to draw wolves, or anything for that matter, please break it down into shapes. It makes things so much easier to draw, helps give your creature volume/make it look three dimensional, and gives you an idea of where the joints are. Plus, it makes it look as if you've studied the animal's anatomy and makes your finished piece look a whole lot better.

I hope this helps. An in-depth tutorial on cats is coming as soon as I finish up my commission and find the motivation to do it. XD

Luckily I do draw by breaking things down into shapes, so I could prolly draw wolves if I really wanted to. Not as well as you do of course. :U
