contest entry for RIFT's colossus design i got impulsive spirit after looking at ~kodoktua 's entry ([link] ), he made barong (our infamous myth creature from Bali.) then i thought i could use an old unfinished rangda (also balinese myth creature, and barong's rival) sketch to make it interesting rivalry.

i've been interested in death related things such as skeletons, ghosts, grim reaper, etc in long time, so i chose death planar over all other planars. then i use ref images of tarantula and rangda.

its my first experience illustrating/designing such creature haha, this was really good training/exercise for me ^^ the other entries are way too great to be compared to mine, i could say haha. well, win or lose, it was fun. good luck everyone!
