At different points in the movie, both Godzilla and Kong began moving on all fours; Kong knuckle-walked like a typical ape when he was running in the Hollow Earth, and when Godzilla got serious in his second battle against Kong, he lowered himself onto his arms and legs, and charged at Kong like a bear.These could have been references to the movies King Kong (2005) and The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms, respectively.
