Description

History: Ki is a member of a race who settled underground many generations ago finding a large stone giving off light and energy. They came to worshiping the game calling it their Life Stone and cutting out chunks or infusing other stones and gems with its power and grafting it onto their bodies. However, generation after generations of this tradition had caused them to become dependable on having these stones in their bodies to even live. Unfortunately the Life Stone is slowly dying unable to create new stones, it only has the power to recharge stones salvaged from the dead. What once was seen as an honor to receive extra stones was now deemed impossible as any new stone had to be saved for any newborns so that they do not die. High ranking member of the clan have been attacked for their extra stones for been forced to give them up to save another life. All the infighting and death forced Ki to run to the surface in hopes for finding a way to save the Life Stone or perhaps find another one so that her race doesn’t die out.

The Life Stone: This rock that Ki’s race found has given off a mysterious energy that can grant powers. Generations of grafting it into their own bodies has caused them to become dependent on the energy and can die without it. Before it started dying, the elders would use gems and stones infused with the Life Stone’s power to determine rank or act as a reward for a great deed. Crimes would result in the removal of the extra stones however with the Life Stone dying, removal scars are now seen as an act of self sacrifice. Ki herself has removal scars on her forearms where she removed two of her stones to save the life of twin newborns. It’s also became a fashion to wear jewelry over the gems to hide the scars from the infusing ritual.

Personality: Ki has a mother, mama bear personality. It goes with the role she had in her clan acting as a tutor to the youngs ones teaching them how to use the energy in their stones. She had hoped that she could take a mate but with the crisis facing her race, all childbearing was forbidden unless approved by the elders once a stone could be produced for the child. She is very determined in achieving her goals and will launch the first strike in the fight so she can get the battle over with with her as the victor. And when she gets mad....she's really mad.

Abilities: Ki can manipulate energy that comes from her gems into weapons such as blades and claws. She can even temporarily infuse the energy into her cape to act as a glider to cross large distances or slow her fall. Her lower body is also built for speed running and walking on her toes and using her tail for balance. (Think running Naruto style, but using the tail for balance instead of arms)

Strengths: Energy blades are super sharp! Also Ki is very quick and light so she can attack fast.

Weaknesses: Lack of endurance, due to the energy she uses to fight is connected to her life, if a battle goes for too long, Ki would be forced to retreat and recover while the energy replenishes. Using up too much energy can put her in a bad spot.
