I would have to say that out of the snail images you have taken thus far, this is still my favorite. The colors of the two shells are so different and striking. It's a great image.

Thank you so much ^_^

It's amazing how varied nature is. Almost all of my pictures have been taken within the same little area about 10 meters wide. What I see when I go there is completely different from day to day.

I like that about the local nature group. All the images posted are places you regularly go to.
I think it's neat that there is a lot in our unique areas that inspire us to take photographs.
Most of my sky shots and a lot of the flower shots are taken from my yard or at my neighbor's place across the road. lol

Yeah I like that too. I guess when you do macro photography what might seem like a small area to a person suddenly becomes huge with bugs being so small. I still have yet to get proper pictures of butterflies, aerosmiths and things that don't have 6 or 8 legs. They're really hard to get close to unfortunately. I'll keep trying though

oh, butterflies are difficult. It's my goal to get more butterfly shots but I take what I can get. XD
Getting closer macro shots would mean getting another camera and I am not ready to do that.
She's not fancy but she is awesome in my eyes...even when the zoom lens gets stuck in position. ahahahaha.
Um, I think it's really more of a case of being in the right location at the right time for those insect shots.
I spent 45 minutes in a butterfly garden and still had problems getting the right shots but the ones that did turn out - I was soo happy with them.
I love your snail photos. Not many folks take them and there is a lot of variety in their shell patterns.
They are just amazing to look at. So, yeah...not broken hearted that you don't post a lot of pretty butterflies. lol

Ah yes, getting a new camera is not something one just goes and gets

We learn to live with the quirks of stuff I guess.

You're totally right. I only started taking all these pictures recently (I've always wanted to but couldn't before now) and one of the things I hadn't considered is that you actually have to use different strategies in how you approach the little buggers. I did get pictures of an aerosmith the other day, though none turned out well enough to upload. He was very helpful though. Every time I moved closer he flew away but then settled in the same place 5 seconds later.

It's very satisfying having spent a lot of time getting pictures and then having even a fraction of them turn out great.

I like pretty much all animals, more or less, so I don't discriminate. If it moves, I take pictures of it Snails are really cute though. I don't really find the ones without shells that interesting though

It's different if my camera breaks and there is no way to repair it.
Then I would consider replacing it but yeah, a different camera isn't going to make me a better photographer.
That's all me.
I only got back into using my camera a month ago but I enjoy it a lot, especially now that my wrists are not in pain from the carpal tunnel.
I agree. I am always in awe when I am going through the photo shoot and I find some amazing photos. There is definitely a certain amount of satisfaction to be had from that.
I prefer insects but I will take the photo if the image is there is be taken.
I am in awe of the sky. I don't think I will ever get bored of taking photographs of it.
